Join our live symposium: NEW PERSPECTIVES in Uterine Fibroids

WELCOME!

Dear Colleagues,

I am delighted to invite you to join this educational satellite symposium entitled: NEW PERSPECTIVES IN UTERINE FIBROIDS. It will take place on 4th November at 1:40 pm CET. This timely, scientific event has been funded and organised by Myovant Sciences, GmbH.

Well, it has been a strange and challenging year for us all! While I am sorry we couldn’t meet face to face in Stockholm, thanks to modern technology and some improvisation, it is great to be able to still communicate and share some important information about uterine fibroids, together here.

I am honoured to Chair this symposium and be joined by Professor Erica Marsh and Professor Ayman Al-Hendy.

So, why do we need new perspectives in uterine fibroids? Well, as you will see from the agenda, it really is time to challenge the stigma and misperceptions surrounding these aspects of female health. We also need to be much more patient centred in how we manage this troublesome disease – which will include exploring new treatment perspectives too.

Specifically, the main learning objectives of this symposium are to:

  • Understand the stigma and taboo that still surround these aspects of female health
  • Identify the common disconnect between patients and healthcare professionals
  • Learn how we can all become much more patient centric
  • Understand the estrogen-driven basis of uterine fibroids
  • Review different therapeutic approaches to the management of uterine fibroids – including GnRH antagonists being developed

On behalf of the faculty, I’d like to welcome you to this symposium and hope we can all discover some new perspectives in uterine fibroids.
